I've decided I MUST tell a cute little story that happened a couple of days ago. It might be embarrassing for the party involved but they'll never know I told everyone. ;)There is a really cute couple that lives just up the dirt road from us. They're older and the man is in a wheelchair but somehow his wife still manages to take care of him plus all of the house and yard work. The other day, I was leaving my house to head over to my parent's house when I was met with a big van blocking the road.
The old man in his wheelchair had gone out across the road to get the mail. However, the front wheels of his chair had gotten stuck in the soft soil by the mailboxes and he couldn't move. His wife eventually found out what had happened and came out to help but she was unable to move him herself.
So what did she do you ask? She backed their van up (and I'm not talkin' bout no mini-van), got a rope, and proceeded to hook her husband up to it to pull him out. This is about the point that I drove up.
Being the good samaritan that I am, and the fact that I couldn't get passed anyway, I hopped out of my car to join in the winching. Her plan worked flawlessly and we were all on our merry way in no time. As I was leaving, she told me to let her know if I needed any help while Marc is away. Oh no, no, no sweet lady; you let me know if you need any help! :)
