Today while Jerrica and I were mowing the lawn we found a praying mantis. It was scurrying up one of our rocks when we went past on the lawn mower. I was a little surprised because I don't see many praying mantises, esp. in our yard. Jerrica thought it was pretty neat, so while she was sitting there watching it I decided to go and get my camera.They are such freaky looking creatures! When I was taking a really close up pictures, Dante barked and the mantis turned its head to look at him. It made my skin crawl a little bit!
Speaking of Dante, did I mention that he decided to try to ride on the lawnmower with me? He actually wouldn't get off so I decided to just go with it. However, as soon as I started the blade, he freaked out and jumped off. Yep, the big mean dog will take on any K-9 in the area but the lawn mower is where he draws the line.

I try not to mention this very often because I don't want your head to get too big... but you take amazing pictures and pretty much do a lot of other amazing things too! Can you pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze come and take pictures of my girls and family soon? I may even find the funds to make you a real "working photographer." Love ya!
