Havin' a Ball!

Fall is underway and that means soccer too. Ally wanted to play soccer this year because her cousin, Rosanna, plays so we got her signed up. She played her second game this last Saturday and did a great job! She didn't get to score any goals but she was always right after the ball and wasn't afraid to get into the thick of it.

Unfortunately, she ended up getting hurt in the soccer ball "mosh pit" as I like to call it. She fell down in the middle of some serious scuffling and got kicked right in the mouth. I'm surprised her two front teeth didn't fall out because they were already pretty loose. She cried for a little bit but then got right back into the game.

Although I've never played soccer other than in high school PE, I somehow managed to become Ally's coach....or assistant coach....or something! The guy who was originally suppose to coach had some changes at work and hasn't been able to make practices. So I take practices and he's been there for the games. So far, it has been working out and I haven't had anyone tell me I'm doing an awful job....yet.

Jerrica's birthday was also this last Saturday. My baby is 4! When the heck did THAT happen?! Oh right, Saturday. It was a great party, pretty small compared to a lot of our other get togethers but Jerrica still managed to make out like a bandit. She had so much fun opening her presents! She couldn't wait to get to the next one once she tore open the one in front of her. Good times! :)

Marc has been working for the Schenks driving tractor back and forth in the field. I'm glad to see him working again but this is a temporary situation until we can find a more permanent job for him. I just applied for a graphic design job in Twin so I'm hoping that my couch-sitting days are almost over. .... Ok, so really I'm not but I really am looking forward to getting back to designing and making some money wouldn't be too bad either. ;)
.
Marc's birthday is coming up on the 29th and although he told me not to do anything for him, I'm still not convinced I'm going to listen. ;) My old man is getting close to that big 3-0. Tee hee! It's ok babe, I still think you're just as sexy as the day I met you!
