Float like a butterfly, sting like a WASP!

The other day Marc decided he really didn't want to mow the lawn so I offered to do it myself. I haven't mowed the lawn since we moved in to this house but I used to mow it at our house on Park Ave. all the time.

As most of you know, I had a little incident when I was preparing the lawn for mowing. The grass around the water spicket was really long and as I was stepping in it to unhook the hoses, a wasp must have flown up my pant leg. At first I just felt a little pinch on my butt. No big deal; but while I was trying to check it out, I felt a BIG pinch!

I started jumping around and I asking Marc if he saw anything down my pants. Then I couldn't take it any more and I just ripped my pants down while I was standing on my deck. lol As I did that, a stinking wasp flew out of my pants! Needless to say I was in pain and I was bleeding, swelling, and jumping around like a crazy person. After a little TLC with an ice cold rag, I finally sucked it up and went out to mow the lawn.

And that's how I got stung on the ASS by a wasp.

Oh, and can I just say, our weed whacker is WAY too big for me and I'm still sore from trying to lug it around the yard and hoist it up into position. I need a woman's weed whacker! :)

Things around here have been a little different since Ally has gone to school. She's loving 1st grade and thinks that school lunch is a really neat. She also discovered school breakfast yesterday morning so now she tells me that I don't need to feed her breakfast any more. lol She also is loving riding the bus, although I slept through my alarm this morning so we missed the bus today. Yes mom, I did get her to school on time. =P

Jerrica doesn't seem to be too sad about Ally being gone but she really acts differently than normal. Last year when Ally was in school, Jerrica would just play quietly in her room. Now, most mornings, she is like a little tornado. She gets into everything, jumps off of everything, and wants me to read every single books she has to her. I don't mind that last one too much. :)

Well, I think it's time for my morning nap. ;) Yes, Marc and I are still "retired" but we should be remedying that soon. I'm hoping to stay in retirement but we'll see what happens. Ta-ta for now!

It's a good thing you guys put up that fence so the neighbors couldn't catch you with your drawers down ;)

Lyndsey, when this incident with the wasp happened, were you on the FRONT deck or the BACK deck? LOL
